Kitchen Wish List

I want a lot of kitchen gadgets. I've been re-building my cookware collection since an unfortunate incident happened a few years ago when I moved out of my first Denver apartment and left a couple cupboards full of stuff. (I forgot to pack them). I contacted the new tenant and he had promptly "given away" ALL of my stuff (mixing bowls, cookie sheets, wire racks, pots, pans, etc.). I'm still sad about my Williams Sonoma bowls. And I'm still a little pissed about that guy. He was a total ass on the phone.

So if I had a gift card to Sur La Table or Bed Bath and Beyond, I sure know what I'd get.

• Ramekins. Like 10 of them. I just found this recipe for individual Bananas Fosters cakes and I need Ramekins. Plus I'm sure I'd use them for other things. Mmm like creme brulee.
• Mesh Strainer. In the past 3 weeks, I have needed one of these several times. I only have a big pasta strainer and that doesn't work for things like quinoa and lentils.
  
• Wok. I don't think I need an explanation for this. I just want one.
• Cast Iron Skillet. I just learned that you can make Foccacia bread in one. Plus these things are heavy duty. It would last my whole life (assuming some tenant doesn't steal it!)
• Cutting Boards. I always need more and mine seem to be on their last leg.
• Le Creuset®. Anything by them, really.. but mostly a new casserole dish.
• Large Food Processor. My mini one drives me nuts. Last night I wanted to throw it out the window. But that could be dangerous, so I held back. PS: This Viking one is f-ing amazing. Plus it's called a Viking. Bad ass.
  
• Santoku knives. I have one of these. It's always getting used. But no wonder I have only one. This one is only $105. What a deal.

Ok. I better stop. Kitchen gadget overload. Basically I want everything. But some things are more essential than others and may require immediate purchase. Like the strainer. I think that shouldn't cost too much...
