Derby Attire

So I hear there's a massive Kentucky Derby party every year at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver. I really want to go. So my current obsessions are spring dresses, derby hats, and fascinators.

Office Move

We're moving offices tomorrow to a shinier new space. I'm excited to have a window office!

Wine and Cheese Party

I've been in need of a wine and cheese get-together for years now. I think maybe end of March or April I should do it. Hmm maybe after the marathon is over (April 11) I can celebrate with some good wine and cheese.

Langres cheese is the one I need to hunt down. Apparently you serve it by pouring champagne on top before you eat it. Sounds amazing to me. Could cost $20 a chunk.. but could be worth it. :)

Yay for a long weekend. I'm making cinnamon rolls for brunch tomorrow. Soo excited to see how they turn out. The recipe looks pretty great, so as long as I do everything right, everyone should be happy!

Denver Restaurant Week...

...is February 20th - March 5th. I already have two reservations made and I'm hoping to squeeze a third in. It's always a fun time to visit some of the more expensive places in town since it's only $52.80 a couple for a several course meal.

Kate Spade

Was Kate Spade clothing always this cute? The last few seasons are amazing. Serious clothing lust. I almost wanted to buy the polka dotted one for a special occasion, but too much. sigh.

Clocktower Wedding

The D&F Clocktower in Denver was recently remodeled and is now available for weddings and events. I've never been in there... But I saw this wedding shoot on Style Me Pretty and now I want to see the inside! What a cool idea for a wedding.

I love this book...

I borrowed this from a friend ages ago and I'm finally getting around to reading it. Even if you're not down with a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, this book is such a good read. It's hilarious... and full of great research on the food industry. It's so important to know where your food comes from... and if you have any feelings about animal treatment there are definitely things you should know...

After my new found lactose intolerance, I'm inspired to go vegan or at least semi-vegan. It's totally do-able and contrary to what you may think - there are certainly ways to do it healthy.

Oooh and now there's a version for your man.

Snowy Monday

Today I really wanted to stay in bed. Snow does that to me. I wonder if i'd be less lazy if I lived in a warmer climate. Hmmm.

Dreaming of...

A trip to Prague. Jetsetter on Gilt has a "sale" going on for this hotel - The Augustine. But it only lasts another 13 hours. Sooo wish I could just get out my credit card and book 2 weeks in July or so.

I love getting my daily emails from Gilt Groupe. (If you don't know what it is.. you should join.) I usually try not to look cause I want everything, but today I got something (cause it's payday)! I love hosting parties and I need more dishes.. so I got a set of tea cups and saucers. I hope they arrive by Valentine Brunch!

Sister has been talking about learning to ride a motorcycle for a while now. And by for a while I mean every time I see her she mentions it. If her riding a motorcycle means I can tag along just for sister photos, leather, and booty shorts then I'm in.

Spring will be here someday

Cool dresses from threeASFOUR Spring/Summer 2010 collection. They remind me of sea creatures.

And...

...and these are the shoes for the dress. I've been in need/want of booties forever. These are not 4" heels (like most of the ones I've seen) so I feel that they're appropriate for me since I'm already gigantor. We'll see when they arrive. Brilliant thing about Endless is that they ship the next day free. And you can send them back free if you don't like them or if they send you the wrong size - which has happened to me. Imagine my horror when they sent me a size 6 shoe. I don't think I was ever a 6... maybe at birth?
